Wide Stance Box Squat
EMOM x 5
5 reps @ ~50-55%
*This time through with the wide stance box squats:
a) Last time we really broke down the movement into its segments, to be sure we fully understood the movement. Now we are going to focus more on the movement's purpose: Rate of Force Production (RFP) and Posterior Chain Activation (PCA, term credited to Doug Sullivan and Alan Millar)!
b) So speed of the movement during the concentric (explosiveness on the way up) part, is what we're after. As long as the quality of the movement is still there.
c) Please watch Jason's video in its entirety (4:00, you can do it!). The only thing you might notice that is slightly different is his stance width. He goes even wider than in line with your feet (knees over feet), which I do not agree completely with. Let's maintain knees no wider than feet directly underneath to maintain good posture, PCA, and mechanically sound kinesthetics!
