I have sent an email out to all of the volunteers for Saturday's Dynamic Duo competition. If you have not received it, it is either because you did not register to be a volunteer and I have not accounted for you, or you entered your email incorrectly.
If you would still like to be a volunteer and help out, it is not too late! But please try to let me know and send me an email ASAP.
P.S~ We're still looking for judges :)
Red Flag Day
For those who don't know the story behind what a red flag means:
Picture a hypothetical athletic team, young, talented, on a winning streak and feeling good about themselves. They begin to get a little cocky, not working as hard as they normally do in practice. They squeak by their next match, but still with a win. The coach notices their less-than-all-out-effort which got them where they are in the first place.
The coach decides to send a message to the team: "hard work, preparation, effort, teamwork, and determination is what got you here, and we have to keep it up if we want to achieve our end-of-year goals." So the coach hangs a Red Flag outside his/her office for the next day of practice as a symbol of what is in store for the team.
The coach's message with the red flag is simple. It says to the team, "It's time to show up, put your nose to the grindstone, get back to the hard work that we're used to, and not complain about it."
Now, clearly I'm not saying that about ANY ONE of our members at Resilience. The backstory is just to set the mood and let you know where it came from. But what the red flag symbolizes for us, at Resilience, is, "Show up no matter what. Be prepared for anything. You're in for a good one!"
Bring your best ALL RED OUTFIT and positive attitude and LET'S GOOOOOO!!!!!
I will say that it is a team of 3 workout...
