POWER CLEAN + PUSH JERK
Hitting our second week of double this week, things should be getting pretty serious! As the weight gets up there we should be seeing that “power catch” position in full force. All failed power cleans should be squat cleans! Also, let’s remember to breathe before the jerk. After we adjust the hands get yourself tight and focused, take your breaths and make a strong rack position before exploding through the dip + drive.
UPPER BODY PUSH + BIKE CONDITIONING + HANDSTAND WALKING
Today’s focus is on gymnastics and breathing. We will continue to perfect our strict movement on hspu and dips, continue to build our ability to breathe and sustain on the bike, and mix in some handstand walking or hold practice to further our skills in mastering control of our own bodies.
Another round of sumos! Be mindful of building heavy and remind yourself that if the weight isn’t there that specific day then do not force it. Deadlifts are extremely beneficial, but require full focus. Achieve that full body brace and drive your hips through!
