Regular Stance, High Box Squats
Build to a daily 3 RM.
- Box height should get you to about parallel, or just above.
- This height means we stay in the strongest range of motion of the squat. Therefore, you will surprise yourself at how much more weight you will be able to lift. This is a day to enjoy and go heavy!
- Yes, we want you to feel a heavy weight and the benefits of full-body-bracing a heavy weight, but you still have to be smart and use spotters when you get to weights that you don't feel super confident with. One person on each side of your bar to assist if needed, but YOU are still in control of the barbell. Don't dump the bar for your spotters to deal with, they are there to assist you in lifting it back up.
