Strongman Work (32 minutes)
- 2 times through each of 4 stations
- Spend 4 minutes at each station accumulating reps/distance in an "I go, you go" fashion with the others in your group
- While waiting for your turn, if you feel up to it, perform the "hold"
20 yds. Stone Carry
(BSC = Heavy Stubby Axle Bar OH Carry)
Hold = Plate OH
100m Heavy Farmer's Carry

Hold = Plank
20 yds. Keg Carry (a bear hug is the hardest version...)
(BSC = Yoke Carry on Back)
Hold = Bottom of Squat
100m Heavy Prowler/Sled Push (high handles only)
(BSC = Backward Sled Drag)
Hold = Nothing, you should be pretty gassed from this one and want your rest...haha
*Strongman work is almost essential in any good strength and conditioning program. Most movements/events require you to brace your entire body for a full-body load. Training your body for these types of events has an unbelievably awesome neural affect on your overall strength. Now that the weather is turning for the better, we will try to incorporate some more of these days as often as we can, or at least throw some of the movements into workouts as often as we can.
