Here we go!! I don't know about all of you guys, but I am feeling great already...after two/three days of moderate habit changes...haha. Can't wait to be eating a bit cleaner and feeling that much tighter and healthier!
I have attached a PDF with this year's Benchmark Workout Options. That's right, there are options this year.
A) I figured since we are performing these workouts on a pass/fail basis, we don't all have to be so uptight about performing the exact same WOD and comparing scores exactly. This should be one of the individual pieces that you all look forward to seeing marked, individual improvement.
B) I hope there will be an option that everyone loves/hates (in a good way), that will challenge you appropriately, and motivate you to want to work on certain movements to get all-around fitter.
Take a look at the attached PDF HERE.
Ideally these are performed during one of this upcoming Saturday's three class times. If you are unable to make it then, our next ask is that you try to find some Open Gym time to perform your workout anytime this week, or as soon as you can after this Saturday. And if you truly can't perform the workout during one of these times during the week, then we please just ask that you respect the coach and class during the time that you are performing the workout.
You'll see that there are:
Home-brewed concoctions and versions of the Hero WOD Holleyman (Click HERE for more details). The idea behind all of the workout options this year is to have a slightly longer time-domain, and to challenge your steady 90% (or so) effort pace with short and aggressive rounds so you can try to sustain that fat-burning metabolic zone with a certain level of intensity.
I'll be there to help collect scorecards on Saturday. But if you perform it this week, please put your scorecard (or a copy of it) in the bin next to our printer outside of the offices when you have completed your workout!
Hopefully we all have some fun with these workouts! Comment on how they go if you perform them prior to this Saturday!
