Resilient Kids

About the Program

Appropriate Age Range: 3rd Grade – 6th Grade

Kids develop lifelong habits at a very early age, and it is important to get them started on a fit and healthy lifestyle as soon as possible. The Resilience Kids program establishes a path to a lifetime of fitness through fun games and structured activities. Our CrossFit Kids-certified coach Jamie Weeden will take them through activities that involve basic movements such as pushing, pulling, running, jumping, squatting, throwing, etc. — only safe movements that nature intended them to do. These are some of the same functional movements we develop in our adult group sessions, only the workout along with the intensity is scaled methodically according to their age and individual physical and mental capacity.

See below for details on pricing and to register, and if you have questions please email Jamie Weeden.

Schedule of Classes

A varsity ice hockey all star turned elite obstacle course racer turned CrossFit enthusiast.  There's no stopping her once she has that fitness goal in mind.  Her physical abilities are equally met by her mental toughness.  The constant movement variations and challenges CrossFit throws at her only drive her to be better than yesterday.

Outside of fitness, Katie has a bachelor’s degree in education from Salve Regina University and is currently finishing up her master’s degree at Lasell College.

What better way to combine her two passions than coach CrossFit!

Bre Vacca
Bre graduated from Keene State College with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2014. She is currently taking classes to become a Physical Therapist Assistant at New England Institute of Technology. Bre’s passion for physical activity rooted in competitive gymnastics from a young age and continued through most of her teenage years. Bre used her knowledge of gymnastic, physical strength, and leadership skills to act as captain of her college cheerleading team for three years. Bre’s love for gymnastics and staying physically fit inspired her to devote her time to coaching starting her sophomore year of high school. Bre currently coaches at Elite Gymnastics Academy in Ashland where she helps gymnasts take their skills to the next level.

Bre feels that being part of a team allowed her to succeed in staying in good physical and mental shape through the years. She found that being part of a team allowed her to try harder, hold herself and her teammates accountable, and achieve higher levels of physical fitness.

Fearful she would find herself skipping gym days and losing her motivation, she decided to join the staff at Crossfit Resilience in October of 2015, where she began teaching gymnastics classes. Since becoming a part of Crossfit Resilience, Bre has set many goals for herself and for her gymnastics classes. Some of Bre’s goals while teaching her gymnastics classes are for her athletes to gain knowledge of gymnastics safety, obtain new skills, and master training drills that will help them be successful in their CrossFit careers.

  • Coach: Elite Gymnastics Academy (2008 – Present)
